DeKalb County Man Facing Attempted Rape, Sexual Battery and Strangulation Charges
(DeKalb County, IN)-A 23 year old man from rural Corunna is facing multiple felony charges following an investigation by Indiana State Police Detective Kevin Smith into an incident that occurred this past weekend.
Smith's investigation revealed that on Saturday, September 19th at approximately 4:00 a.m., Timothy M. Jacks had physically attacked a female victim at a residence just outside of Corunna. As a result of Smith's investigation, Jacks has been charged with:
- Attempted Rape, Level 2 Felony
- Sexual Battery, Level 6 Felony
- Strangulation, Level 6 Felony
Deputies from the DeKalb County Sheriff Department responded to the original complaint on Saturday morning before summoning Smith's assistance, and as a result of their investigation, Jacks faces additional charges of battery to a police officer and resisting law enforcement, both level 6 felonies.
