Full Notification

We received notification tonight that natural gas could be smelled in the downtown area of Groesbeck. We called Atmos in reference to this and they advised of a minor leak in the 800 block of West Navasota Street.

We then met with an Atmos Technician, who advised there was nothing to worry about. The minor leak was being taken care of, and what was being smelled throughout the town, was the odor additive that was spilled at their plant, just north of town. Again, no precautions to be made, and there is no actual natural gas involved.
