On September 26, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Platte City Police Department, the Platte County Sheriff's Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its tenth opportunity in five years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your pills for disposal to Platte City Price Chopper at 2600 Ensign Hill Drive Platte City. (The DEA cannot accept liquids or needles or sharps, only pills or patches. However, we will have a sharps container and will accept needles and sharps) The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
