It’s time to get rid of your old prescription medications.
The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department, along with the Drug Enforcement Administration and area agencies, wants citizens to dispose of all unused expired prescription drugs.
Old prescription medications are a public safety issue, which often leads to accidental poisoning, overdose and abuse.
On Saturday, September 26, 2015, residents can get rid of their medications free of charge with no questions asked by placing them in one of the cardboard take back bins at any of these locations between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.:
• Santa Fe Police – 2515 Camino Entrada, Santa Fe, NM
• Rancho Viejo Village Market, 55 Canada del Rancho, Santa Fe, NM
• New Mexico State Police, 4491 Cerrillos Road, Santa Fe, NM
