Safety Tip
October is Fire Prevention Month. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) sets a theme each year, this years it is “Hear the Beep Where You Sleep”. Half of home fire deaths occur between 11 pm and 7 am when most people are asleep. Home smoke alarms can alert people to a fire before it spreads thus allowing residents to get out safety. We encourage everyone to make sure they have working smoke alarms in their home. Ideally one in every sleeping room, in the hallway, and on each level of their homes.
