Hurricane Joaquin Threat 
The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Watch for the next several days for the entire western NC region to include Gaston County
With the threat of Hurricane Joaquin passing off the coast of NC in the next couple of days and with a Low moving west to east this region is expected to get large amount of rains Friday thru Sunday and possibly into Monday. Some forecasts are calling for up to 7" of rain which may call flooding issues.
Take necessary safety precautions now to be prepared for what may come and if you live in low lying areas or near creeks and streams monitor for rising water.
