National Weather Service has issued a Severe weather warning resulting from Hurricane Joaquin for the Berwyn Heights area until Sunday night.

In preparation of Hurricane Joaquin the BHPD, CODE, BHDPW as well as BHEP will be preparing for heavy rain and wind around Town.

Residents are reminded that during heavy rain events, low lying and flood prone areas will flood. Residents should check and clean gutters and down spouts, as well as yard grates, sump pumps and sump drains. Finally, residents should not attempt to drive through flooded streets at any time.

A weather watch indicates the potential for severe or damaging weather conditions.
