City of Portsmouth Weather-Related Notices 
PORTSMOUTH RECREATION CENTERS CLOSED
All city recreation centers closed at 1 p.m. today. At this time, normal operations are planned for Monday, October 5th.
PORTSMOUTH PUBLIC SCHOOLS EARLY DISMISSAL
All schools dismissed early today based on school zones. Dismissals began at 12 p.m. with the last dismissals at 1:45 p.m.
BULK COLLECTIONS SUSPENDED
Bulk collections have been suspended until further notice. Regular trash and recycling are being collected today, and weather conditions will be evaluated over the next few days regarding all collections for Monday. For updates or more information, visit www.portsmouthva.gov or call the Waste Management Division at 393-8663.
PARKING GARAGES OPEN THIS WEEKEND
Due to the inclement weather, all City Garages are open and free for residents and visitors to relocate/park their vehicles. Please use the County and Middle Street Garages, and as an alternative, the Water Street Garage will be open. Drivers are encouraged to park in spaces that are not marked reserved 24 hours.
