Hit n’ Run Suspect Sought, Ardine Street & Salt Lake Avenue, Cudahy
On Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at approximately 9:02p.m. a 36-year-old male bicyclist, a resident of Huntington Park, was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Ardine Street and Salt Lake Avenue in the City of Cudahy. The male bicyclist was eastbound on Ardine Street. The driver of a white (or light colored) SUV was northbound on Salt Lake Avenue and struck the bicyclist as he was crossing the intersection. About half a block north of the collision, the SUV came to a stop and then drove away. The driver did not notify 911 or attempt to render aid to the bicyclist. The traffic investigators at East LA Station are following up on these leads on a license plate that was provided the night of the collision.
The victim was still in the hospital as of Thursday, October 1, 2015 due to the injuries sustained in the collision.
The driver was described as a middle aged female Asian with black wavy hair, average height and average weight. The vehicle was described as a white (or light colored) newer SUV with a tinted rear window. Witnesses provided a license number that may not be correct (thus we are not releasing it at this time). The damage to the SUV should be on the front grill area and right quarter panel.
