Vandalism Investigation

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect or suspects responsible for numerous acts of vandalism.

On October 4th, 2015, between the hours of 3:00 am and 7:00 am, an unknown suspect or suspects vandalized six vehicles in the area between Terrace Way, Belle Terrace, Castro Lane, and S. Oleander St., in south Bakersfield. Two of the vandalism’s occurred in the 2600 block of Cleveland Way, two occurred on Paloma Street in the 900 and 1000 block, one occurred in the 2500 block of Urbano Drive, and one occurred in the 500 block of S. Oleander St.

In each case, windows were shattered on the vehicles. The vehicles were not burglarized. In addition, numerous similar vandalisms were reported to the Bakersfield Police Department in the same area during the same time frame.

If anyone has information on these cases, or witnessed any suspicious vehicles or people in the area during the time the crimes occurred, they are asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 661-861-3110 or Secret Witness at 661-322-4040.
