Regional Dispatch Supervisor and Noble County Resident Recognized for 25 Years of Service
(Fort Wayne, IN)-An Indiana State Police Regional Dispatch Supervisor was recognized recently for a milestone in her career with the Department; 25 years of service.
Katherine A. Davies, a native of West Lafayette, is a 1985 graduate of West Lafayette High School and also holds an Associate Degree in Communication from Vincennes University. On September 24, 1990 she was appointed to the Indiana State Police as a Data Input Operator in the Vehicle Crash Records Section at General Headquarters in Indianapolis.
In 1991, Davies transferred to the Lafayette Post and served as a dispatcher until 1992 when she transferred to the Lowell Post and assumed the same duties. In July 1994, she transferred to the Fort Wayne Post as a dispatcher, before transferring to the Fort Wayne Regional Laboratory in 1999 as an Evidence Clerk.
Davies was promoted to her current position as a Dispatch Supervisor in 2000 and currently oversees the day to day duties of four dispatch personnel. “While the technology has helped with how we do our jobs, people are at the heart of this profession. I’m very proud to say that I’ve had the fortune of working amongst the very best here at the Fort Wayne Post”, said Davies.
Davies and her husband reside in rural Kendallville. She has two grandchildren and her mother resides in Danville, Indiana.
