Suspicious person claiming he works for an alarm company in area-use caution.
October 3, South Park Police investigated a report of a suspicious male that showed up unannounced at a resident’s home claiming he worked for the resident’s alarm company. The resident confirmed with her alarm company that the male was not an employee. The male fled in a 2009 black Chev Impala Texas registration RVH-599. Through investigation, South Park PD identified the male as Jens Peterson. In May 2015, Peterson was arrested in New Orleans, LA after a female homeowner opened the door to Peterson who put his hands on the resident’s shoulders and pushed her backwards while asking about her home security system. The responding Sheriff's Office deputy found Peterson and two others inside a vehicle parked nearby. The men wore uniforms and gave the deputy paperwork and badges identifying them as employees of a Canadian security alarm company.
Jefferson Hills Police caution residents of Peterson’s activity and sighting in the area-he does not have a soliciting permit to solicit in Jefferson Hills. Should you see Peterson or any suspicious person in your neighborhood, immediately call 911 and request the police investigate.
As a reminder with any solicitor, approved by the Borough or not-never let a stranger/solicitor inside your home.
