The Johnson County Sheriff's Office took six (6) vehicle break-in or attempted break-in reports yesterday for incidents that occurred Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning in the Old Smith Valley area of White River Township (Greenwood). In two of these thefts handguns were taken out of unlocked vehicles. As most of you know we have been trying to educate the public to not leave firearms in your vehicle overnight. One homeowner has video of two suspects around his home in the early morning hours (2:37 a.m.) of Wednesday morning. We need the public's help in reporting suspicious activity and vehicles.
