On September 28, 2015, South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station detectives served a search warrant in the 1400 block of West 98th Street, Los Angeles and arrested 29 year old Melchor Alvarado for Forgery and Identity Theft.

Mr. Alvarado was allegedly making fictitious checks out of a garage at the residence. The checks were being cashed at local businesses in the area.

Detectives discovered computer equipment, printers, stolen mail, and blank checks that Mr. Alvarado was using to make the fictitious checks.

Mr. Alvarado will have a court date in the near future.
