We've been awarded Traffic Safety grants for 2016 from the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee to help keep you safe!
The Whitehall Police Department has been awarded traffic safety grants for 2016 under the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee for Police Traffic Services and Child Passenger Safety!
The Police Traffic Services grants allow for law enforcement agencies to dedicate specific patrols / personnel for the purposes of traffic safety enforcement relating to seat belts, distracted driving, and speed, all of which are a daily safety concern for all of us who travel the roads in our communities.
The Child Passenger Safety grant will allow us to continue operating our Child Passenger Safety Seat Fitting Station at our office! Our fitting station is open year round and always available, by appointment, to ensure your child's car seat is appropriate, safe, and installed properly! For more information regarding our CPS Fitting Station program, check our online fitting station here: http://cps.whitehallpolice.org .
We're thankful for our community and those we serve that we have received these awards from the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee for the second year in a row, allowing us to continue these important initiatives, keeping our community safe!
