The River Vale Police Department has recently obtained a "Mobile Prescription Drop Box" which will add to the existing Project Medicine Drop Program already in place. The Police Department first signed onto the program in June of 2013. It is coordinated by the DEA and NJ State Division of Consumer Affairs, and has had enormous success. Since the inception we have collected over 1,000 lbs of expired and unused medication in each year of our participation. The mobile drop box will make available to individuals or groups who may not otherwise be able to easily access the permanent box located in the lobby of the Police Department.

The Department plans to make the box available at its upcoming Town Day on October 18, 2015 11am to 3pm at the Mark Lane complex.
