09/19/2015- 200 block of Waterlily Dr – Larceny from Vehicle- The victim reports that an unknown suspect entered his vehicle by damaging the door and entering the vehicle to steal a Laptop and an IPad from inside the vehicle. There are no suspects and no witnesses.

09/21/2015- 100 Block of Barker Rd-Burglary- The victim reports arriving to work and finding the safe had been stolen. The suspect entered thru a side office door and once inside stole the safe. No Witnesses and No Suspect the case is currently under investigation.

09/21/2015- 6000 Block of Whitmore Lake Rd – Attempt Burglary– The victim reports that an unknown subject(s) attempted to gain entry into the business by prying open a back door. The victim had advised that the businesses phone line had been cut. The case is currently under investigation.

09/21/2015 6000 Block of Whitmore Lake Rd – Larceny from Auto– The victim reports that an unknown subject(s) entered his semi-tractor cab and stole a GPS used for his work. There are no suspects and no witnesses.

09/25/2015 – 300 Block of E Shore Dr-. Burglary- The victim was awakened by an unknown subject standing in his bedroom. There was a brief altercation and the homeowner was able to subdue the suspect until police arrived. The subject was arrested and transported to the hospital based on his actions and statement made upon arrest.

09/28/15- 6850 Whitmore Lake Rd- Tractor Supply- The caller reported that a subject entered the store and walked out with several pieces of merchandise. The subject got into a Cadillac and fled the area. There is video of the incident and the case has been turned over to the Northfield Township Detective.

09/29/15- 8000 Block of Garfield- Damaged Property- The victim reports that several section of his split rail fence had been damaged by a vehicle that had fled the area. Officer checked the area for a white box van with potential damage but were unsuccessful in the effort.

Northfield Township Police would like to remind our residents to limit posting Personal Information, apply privacy settings and be cautious of good deals posted on line.

The BBB is also warning about an IPhone scam attempting to recruit people to test the upcoming IPhone 7 in order to receive a free iPhone 6. Apple is not looking for testers, nor are they giving away the iPhone 6.Do not open or respond to such .

Advise your college student the FBI will never contact them by phone to advise them they are delinquent in their loan payment, taxes or un-paid parking tickets. Even if the caller ID displays FBI - do not give out personal information or send a money gram.

During the month of September officers responded to 482 Calls for Service. The Northfield Township Police Department has made 115 arrests year to date.
