On Wednesday October 14th the Shelby County Sheriff's Office alerted the Johnson County Sheriff's Office to be alert for burglaries on the Shelby/Johnson County line, since they had just had a fresh burglary in their county. Shortly thereafter the Johnson County Sheriff's Office received an alarm call in the area of State Road 44 and 700 East. Upon arrival of deputies it was discovered that forced entry was made into the home. This is the third recent burglary of homes on the Shelby and Johnson County line. Shelby County has released information gathered during two of their investigations. The Pontiac van photo was taken by children of the homeowners who came home and found the vehicle in the driveway. The red SUV was photographed by the homeowners security system yesterday (Wednesday) during that burglary. Please report suspicious activity to your local police agency.
