Troopers Trade-In their Badges for Aprons to Benefit Special Olympics
Who: Special Olympics Indiana (SOIN), the Indiana State Police, and Red Robin Gourmet Burgers (Red Robin International, Inc.)
What: “Tip-A-Cop” is an official Law Enforcement Torch Run Campaign fundraising event. Law enforcement officers and department personnel volunteer their time as “Celebrity Waiters” to collect tips at Red Robin Restaurants to support Special Olympics Indiana.
When: Saturday, October 24th with shifts from: 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Where: All ten Indiana Red Robin restaurants. Troopers from the Bremen Post will be participating at the Mishawaka restaurant located on the corner Main St. and Day Rd.
How:
·Law enforcement personnel act as “Celebrity Waiters” along with Red Robin wait staff and interact with restaurant guests.
·Tip-A-Cop generates tremendous community goodwill and public awareness for Law Enforcement and Special Olympics Indiana. Tip-A-Cop is a ‘no risk’, easy and fun way to raise money for Special Olympics athletes in your community!
·The national goal of the 2015 Red Robin “Tip-A-Cop” event is to raise more than $750,000 from all participating Torch Run programs across the country to benefit Special Olympics. The program goal for Special Olympics Indiana is $18,000.
