Homeless Male Arrested For Unlawfully Entering Apartment
On October 21, 2015, at approximately 9:30am, the Campbell Police Department responded to 1845 S. Bascom Ave. on a report of a suspicious male who entered an occupied apartment. The female resident found the suspect inside her apartment and after seeing her, the suspect left the apartment and lingered in the area.
Approximately one hour later, the Campbell Police Department was notified of the incident. Officers responded and searched the area, however, they were initially unable to locate the suspect. Approximately 30 minutes later, the Police Department received information that the suspect was hiding in the Los Gatos Creek trail near Highway 17.
Officers responded to the area and located a subject matching the description. The suspect was positively identified by the female victim as the person who had been inside her apartment earlier.
Arthur Ramirez, 26 years (transient) was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for residential burglary and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
This suspect matches the description of a previous prowling incident that recently occurred on Union Avenue.
