First Annual Community Mounted Trail Ride & Lunch, Century Sheriff’s Station
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Century Station personnel is inviting the community, young and old, to its first annual community mounted trail ride through the City of Compton’s historic equestrian trail.
The community mounted trail ride is an event held to promote equestrian safety and awareness. The trail ride will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015. Riders are required to bring their own horses and must register at George Washington Carver Park, located at 1400 E. 118th Street, Los Angeles, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. The registration fee is $20 per rider and includes the ride, a t-shirt and lunch.
Join Century Station deputies, associates of the Compton Junior Posse, Center for Life, Riders of the Hill, and Mariscos Las Palmas De Colima as they ride alongside community members!
Come and experience the three mile stretch of little known equestrian trails in the City of Compton before returning to Carver Park for a fun filled afternoon. Activities include equine care and management from veterinarians and equine experts, children’s games, a petting zoo, jumpers, and equine education for the youth. A fantastic barbeque lunch will also be provided by Century Station deputies!
A large crowd is expected, so please arrive early!
