Domestic Violence Warrant Sweep

The month of October has been designated as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In support of Domestic Violence Awareness, the Corona Police Department participated in the 13th Annual National Family Violence Apprehension Detail. This is a nationwide attempt involving agencies from across the United States to serve outstanding family-violence warrants.

On Oct. 28, 2015, members of the Corona Police Department and the West Riverside County Post Release Accountability and Compliance Team conducted a Domestic Violence Warrant Sweep in an attempt to serve warrants for family violence related crimes.
Participating personnel identified 11 targets within the City with outstanding warrants. Personnel attempted to serve the warrants and conducted probation compliance checks. One arrest was made for a domestic violence warrant and one arrest was made for a non-domestic violence warrant.

Our goal was to not only serve the warrants, but united together with agencies across the nation, send a message to offenders throughout the U. S. that no matter where they flee, we will work together to find them and hold them accountable.

If you have any questions about this operation please contact Detective Daryl Sailer at 951-817-5796 or email [email protected].
