The Raritan Township Police Department has an important message for the community!
Per township ordinance, a Halloween Curfew is in effect from October 26 through November 2. The curfew is applicable to "juveniles under the age of 18" between the hours of 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM. The following exemptions apply: "(1) unless such juvenile is accompanied by his or her parent, guardian or other person having legal care or custody of such juvenile; or (2) unless the juvenile is engaged in or traveling to or from a business or occupation which the laws of New Jersey authorize a juvenile to perform, or (3) the juvenile is involved in a medical emergency, or a school, civil, church or legitimate social, cultural or educational function supervised by adults."
