Yesterday at approximately 7:30 pm Detectives with the Wichita Falls Police Department Crimes against Property Unit arrested 51 year old Augustine Flores for Theft of a Firearm after serving a search warrant at an apartment in the 1800 block of 11th Street. During the search Detectives recovered 38 stolen firearms.
The arrest stemmed from a Burglary of a Habitation report that WFPD Officers responded to on Oct 29th at approximately 8:30 am at a residence in the 1700 block of 11th Street. Upon arrival they spoke with the victim who stated that someone had made entry into his residence and stole property to include several firearms. Officers immediately contacted Detectives who began investigating the case. During the course of the investigation Detectives were able to gather enough probable cause for the search warrant that resulted in the recovery of the firearms.
