Today Saturday Oct. 31 HALLOWEEN. We will meet up at 5:30pm, 7mile & Woodward. Patrol Groups will be leaving by 6:00

For the fifth year in a row, fewer fires reported in Detroit during the same Angels' Night period.

We have a fantastic start, lets not let this city-wide effort stop, today is Halloween and the children will be out treat or treating, Everybody must continue to watch their block and/or volunteer to patrol our city.

Duggan said the number of fires in Detroit was down significantly from last year, thanks to thousands of citizens patrolling the streets.

Between midnight Thursday and noon Friday, the Detroit Fire Department reported 17 fires, 11 fewer than the 28 last year on the first night of the three-day Angels’ Night period.

“If we can get that again tonight, that would be terrific,” Duggan said. “We’re covering every corner of the city.”

City officials said some of Thursday’s fires may have been caused by downed power lines due to high winds. Seven of the fires were deemed suspicious, officials said. There were fires in three occupied houses, two deemed suspicious; six fires in vacant structures, four of which were considered suspicious; one suspicious garage fire; and seven outdoor or trash fires, none suspicious.

More than 4,000 volunteers have registered to patrol the streets this year, up about 500 from last year, city officials said.

“The large number of active patrollers has helped to further reduce so far the number of fires the city experiences during the three-day Angels’ Night period.
So All hands on deck for today's mission, let's meet about 5:30 same place (Woodward & Seven Mile) so we can keep an eye on these kids trick or treating.
we want to be rolling by 6:00pm, we will end this mission around 9 p.m.

thanks love;
