Search Warrant near Livonia nets Indoor Grow and Pills
Washington County – Troopers with the Indiana State Police served a search warrant near Livonia on Saturday afternoon after receiving information pointing to possible drug activity in a rural home. As a result of the search, several marijuana plants, grow equipment, and other drugs were taken into evidence.
At approximately 10:00am on Saturday morning, ISP Trooper Nathan Teusch began investigating after receiving information of possible illegal drug activity located at 1093 S. Campbellsburg – Livonia Road. The residence was occupied by Cory W. Miller (35), Helen M. Miller (33), Cynthia Johnson, (19) and two children, ages one and six. After arriving at the residence Trooper Teusch gained further information and obtained a search warrant for the residence. Upon entering the house officers discovered over sixty marijuana plants, marijuana growing equipment and numerous Tramadol pills, a schedule 4 narcotic that was obtained without a prescription.
As a result of this investigation, the Indiana State Police arrested both Cory and Helen Miller. Both were charged with Possession of Schedule 4 Controlled Substance without Prescription, a level 6 felony; Neglect of a Dependent (two counts), a Level 6 Felony; Cultivating Marijuana, a Class B Misdemeanor; Dealing in Marijuana, a Class A Misdemeanor; and Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class A Misdemeanor. . Both individuals were incarcerated at the Washington County Jail.
Troopers were assisted by officers from the Washington County Sheriff’s Department and the Campbellsburg Town Marshall.
