Media Release
Lindenwold Police Arrest (02) Males and Recover (03) Stolen Motorcycles

On Thursday October 29th, 2015 at 2:44 pm Lindenwold officers responded to 326 Chestnut Avenue for a report of two males removing property from a vacant house. They were reported to be loading three motorcycles (dirt bikes) into a grey van. As officers were arriving in the area the van pulled away from the property and headed towards the White Horse Pike. Officers stopped the van in the 100 block of E.Elm Ave; it was occupied by two males. The Passenger ran from the van into a nearby wooded area while the driver remained in the vehicle. He was removed from the van and placed under arrest without incident. A perimeter was set up and the area was searched by Lindenwold officers with the assistance of several neighboring towns. The suspect was apprehended a short time later. The van was found to be unregistered and contained three dirt bikes. On further investigation the motorcycles were identified as belonging to a resident at 337 Cedar Avenue and had been reported as stolen earlier that morning. The motorcycles had a combined value of $9,000; forcible entry had been made to the shed they were stored in and several locks cut off the bikes.

The Driver was identified as Zaire L.Herrin; 22 yr old B/M from Lawnside, NJ

The Passenger was identified as Laquan Hart; 21 yr old B/M from Lawnside, NJ

Both suspects were charged with Criminal Trespass, Burglary and Theft. The Driver also received several Motor Vehicle Violations. They were remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility in default of bail.

The Lindenwold Police wishes to thank the assisting police officers and the public for their invaluable assistance. Incidents such as this demonstrate what can be accomplished when members of the public and Police work together to make our neighborhoods a safer place.
