DETECTIVES SEARCH FOR MISSING INFANT AND MOTHER

Detectives with the Portsmouth Police Department Special Victims Unit are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing four month old infant and his birth mother. According to detectives, Eria Barnes was visiting her four month old son, Princeton Barnes, in the 20 block of Pollux Circle W on Friday, November 6, 2015, when she walked out the front door with him stating that no one could take her son from her. Eria Barnes does not have custody of her son. No one in the family has seen or heard from Eria Barnes since Friday evening, nor do they know how little Princeton is doing.

Princeton Barnes is four month old black male that weighs approximately 25 pounds and is 22” tall. Ms. Barnes is a 35 year old black female that stands approximately 5’ tall and weighs 100 pounds. Ms. Barnes currently has a warrant on file for failing to obey a court order out of the City of Portsmouth. Ms. Barnes is known to frequent the cities of Norfolk, Chesapeake and Portsmouth.

Instructions:

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Eria or Princeton Barnes is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP ℠. Callers are never asked to give their name or required to testify in court. If a caller’s tip leads to an arrest, the recovery of drugs or stolen property they could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.
