On October 22, 2015, at around 1:51 a.m., Downey Police Officers responded to the Chevron gas station located at 12555 Paramount Blvd. regarding an armed robbery that just occurred. The suspect left the gas station prior to police arriving.
Later that same morning, at around 2:40 a.m., a second robbery occurred at the Circle K convenience store located at 12000 Paramount Blvd. Downey Police Officers responded and searched the surrounding area, during which time officers located a subject matching the description of the robbery suspect. The suspect, Parsley Kyle Johnson, is a 27-year-old male who resides in Downey. Suspect Johnson was also in possession of a replica semi-automatic handgun that he used in both robberies. Johnson was positively identified as the suspect involved in the two earlier robberies.
Johnson was arrested and booked at the Downey Police Station for 211 P.C., armed robbery.
Downey Detectives presented the criminal case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office where (2) two Robbery charges were filed against Johnson.
Detectives are also investigating additional robberies in Downey to determine Johnson’s potential involvement.
