SUBJECT OF RELEASE: Two car, personal injury crash.
DATE AND TIME: Approximately 1:50 P.M. on Tuesday, November 10, 2015
LOCATION: The intersection of east Sidney Road and South Vickeryville Road, Evergreen Township, Montcalm County.


At approximately 1:50 P.M on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, Montcalm County deputies were sent to a report of a two car crash at the intersection of East Sidney and South Vickeryville Roads in Evergreen Township.

The investigation revealed that a 2000 GMC pickup was travelling north on Vickeryville Road when it failed to stop for the stop sign at Sidney Road. The GMC pickup was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet headed east on Sidney Road. The impact caused both vehicles to leave the road to the north east.

The driver of the 2000 GMC, Joshua Rule age 28 from Carson City, had to be extricated from his vehicle as he was pinned. Rule was flown to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids by Aeromed.

The driver of the 2005 Chevrolet, Lyle Davis age 69 of Merrill, had to be extricated from his vehicle and was transported to Gratiot Community Hospital by Montcalm County Emergency Medical Services. The front seat passenger, Marcia Davis age 69 of Merrill, had to be extricated as well and was flown to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids by Aeromed. The back seat passenger, Jeremy Colin age 27 from Gailsburg, was injured and was transported to Carson City Hospital by Montcalm County Emergency Medical Services.

Joshua Rule, Lyle Davis, and Marcia Davis were all wearing their seatbelts. There were no other contributing factors to the crash, which remains under investigation.

In addition to Montcalm County Emergency Medical Services, the Sheriff Office was assisted by the Stanton Police Department, Carson City Police Department, and the Crystal Township Fire Department.
