SUBJECT OF RELEASE: Two vehicle, personal injury crash
DATE AND TIME: Tuesday November 10, 2015 at 6:33 p.m.
LOCATION: Sidney Road west of Fitzner Road, Montcalm Township
On Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 6:33 p.m., Montcalm County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Sidney Road west of Fitzner Road, Montcalm Township to a report of a head-on crash. The investigation revealed that a 2015 Ford pickup traveling west on Sidney Road was struck by a 1999 Oldsmobile that crossed the centerline while traveling east on Sidney Road.
The driver of the Ford pickup, Neil Berry age 81 of Greenville, and passenger, Patricia Berry age 74 of Greenville, were both transported by Montcalm County Emergency Medical Services to United Memorial Hospital in Greenville for treatment.
The driver of the 1999 Oldsmobile, Eugene First age 26 of Belding, and two passengers, Marie Paige age 23 of Stanton and a seven year old Stanton girl, were all transported to United Memorial Hospital in Greenville for treatment. The remaining two passengers, a one year old Stanton boy and a two year old Stanton girl, were uninjured.
The occupants of all vehicles were properly restrained. There are no other contributing factors in the crash. First received a ticket for failure to maintain control of his vehicle.
