Southern Pines Police Department
Announces:
Master Police Officer Brandon Lugabihl
Awarded Criminal Investigation Certificate
The Southern Pines Police Department is proud to announce that Master Police Officer Brandon Lugabihl recently completed the Criminal Investigation Certificate Program with the North Carolina Justice Academy and has been awarded a Criminal Investigation Certificate from the North Carolina Justice Academy.
The Criminal Investigation Certificate Program is designed to recognize candidates who have completed appropriate training in order to better prepare themselves for the rigors and challenges of Law Enforcement Criminal Investigations. Investigative techniques, details of legal changes, technological advances and the practical application of detectives “best practices” constantly change in our challenging world. Professional investigators who seek out that best practice training stand out from the rest, and should be so recognized. Completion of this program requires 500 credit hours with a focus on law enforcement and criminal investigations.
Following the awarding of the Criminal Investigation Certificate to Master Police Officer Brandon Lugabihl, Chief Temme stated: “Master Police Officer Brandon Lugabihl is a true professional who is an outstanding officer and an asset to our police department and community. The Southern Pines Police Department strives not to provide basic police services, but rather to provide nothing less than the best police services which our community deserves. This can only be accomplished through an unwavering commitment to training and a never ending desire to serve. Master Police Officer Brandon Lugabihl is a prime example in achieving these goals which are consistent throughout the entire Southern Pines Police Department.”
The North Carolina Justice Academy, located in Salemburg and Edneyville, develops and conducts training courses for local and state law enforcement professionals. The Justice Academy provides training programs and technical assistance for law enforcement professionals through the five centers of the Training Division: Commission/In-Service; Investigations; Law Enforcement Leadership; Legal; and Tactical/Traffic. The Justice Academy is a division of the North Carolina Department of Justice under the administration of Attorney General Roy Cooper.
