Two Arrested, Drugs Recovered in Early Morning Raid
Dearborn County-Early this morning, the Indiana State Police served a search warrant and arrest warrants at 107 South State Street, West Harrison, IN where two individuals were arrested and multiple types of illegal drugs were located.
The warrant was served as a result of a joint investigation between the Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section and the Drug Abuse Reduction Task Force (DART) out of Hamilton County, Ohio. After an investigation that lasted approximately six months, a search warrant was issued for the residence along with arrest warrants for two of the occupants.
As a result of the search, troopers located methamphetamine, heroin, prescription drugs, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Two brothers, Michael Peters, 50, and Bryan Peters, 49, who live at the address were arrested on numerous charges.
Michael Peters was arrested on an arrest warrant for two counts of dealing methamphetamine and two counts of maintaining a common nuisance. As a result of the execution of the search warrant, he was additionally arrested on charges of dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, dealing heroin, possession of heroin, possession of a level I, II, and III controlled substance, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia.
Bryan Peters was arrested on a warrant for one count of dealing heroin and one count of maintaining a common nuisance. As a result of the execution of the search warrant, he was additionally arrested on charges of possession of heroin and maintaining a common nuisance.
Michael and Bryan Peters were both transported to the Dearborn County Jail where they were remanded to the custody of the jail staff. After they are booked in, both suspects will be given a bond an initial court appearance date.
The Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section was assisted by the Indiana State Police Emergency Response Team, Indiana State Police -Versailles District, DART Task Force, and the Harrison, Ohio Police Department.
