WINTER STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 9 PM CST FRIDAY.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Cherokee County from 6 AM to 9 PM Friday.
TIMING...SNOW WILL DEVELOP WEST OF INTERSTATE 29 EARLY FRIDAY MORNING...AND SPREAD INTO NORTHWEST IOWA BY LATE MORNING. SNOW WILL BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES DURING THE MIDDAY AND AFTERNOON HOURS. SNOW WILL GRADUALLY DIMINISH FRIDAY EVENING.
Accumulations are 5-7 inches!!!
WIND AND VISIBILITY...VISIBILITY MAY DROP TO LESS THAN ONE HALF MILE AT TIMES DUE TO FALLING SNOW.
