EAPD has been receiving numerous complaints of residents receiving phone calls where the caller states they are with the IRS and that the resident owes money. The caller continues that if the resident does not pay immediately they will be arrested. ***THIS IS A SCAM*** The IRS does not make phone calls, they would send correspondence through the mail. If you receive this call do not give any personal information and DO NOT pay anything. Report these calls to the police department.
