Route 19 will be CLOSED from Rite-Aid to Big Elm Elementary Thanksgiving morning from approx. 8:45 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. 
REMINDER:
The annual Shinnston Turkey Trot 5k run/walk will be held Thanksgiving morning in Shinnston. As a result, traffic on Route 19/Pike Street will be affected.
Route 19 will be CLOSED from Rite Aid in Shinnston, through downtown, all the way to Big Elm Elementary. This will affect traffic in BOTH directions.
Side streets that adjoin Pike St. will reopen as the last group of runners go past.
The total length of the closure depends on the speed of the race, but should last until approximately 9:30. Motorists planning to travel through Shinnston during that time, coming either from the Clarksburg direction or from Fairmont – should plan an alternate route.
