Advisory

Fantasy of Lights Festival on Fri 11/27 in Howell, multiple street closings. Follow detours and arrive early

We hope you'll join us for this family-friendly event to kick off the holidays! The parade starts at 7:00pm, rain or shine, along Grand River through downtown Howell. There is also a Fantasy 5k run, which starts at 6:00pm along the same route. There will be multiple street closures.

* Grand River will be CLOSED between Tompkins and National, from 5:00pm - 10:30pm.
* Sibley and Clinton Streets will be the designated detour routes. You will NOT be able to cross Grand River with a vehicle after it's been closed.
* State Street will be CLOSED to traffic during the event.
* Michigan Avenue between Sibley and Clinton will be CLOSED.
* Walnut Street between Sibley and Clinton will be CLOSED.

Plan on arriving early for best parking options. All City lots will be open. If you park on one of the side streets, make sure you're in a legal spot, and not blocking a driveway or sidewalk. If you park in a private lot without permission, your vehicle may be towed.

Entertainment begins at 4:30pm at the review stands (in front of the Carnegie District Library and the Livingston County Courthouse). Christmas Alley (aka State Street) will have lots of vendors, and they'll be open from 4:30pm until the end of the event.

Bring a chair and a blanket (and maybe an umbrella) and enjoy this wonderful event! For more information, visit www.howell.org.
