54-yr old Springfield man arrested after making bomb threats
On Wednesday (11/25/15) morning, Greene County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a 54-year old Springfield man who made threats to bomb the court house. Deputies were alerted to this threat by two concerned individuals who knew of the man and became alarmed when he made specific, detailed statements.
"We take every threat to the safety of Greene County citizens very seriously," states Sheriff Jim Arnott. "With these two people coming forward and sharing this information, it shows a heightened sense of awareness and concern they have to help us keep our community safe."
The investigation is still on-going and charges may be submitted to the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney for review.
A charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
