The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning for Novato for tonight and Friday night. A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely.

Low temperatures will range from 26 to 32 degrees for most areas.

Temperatures this cold present potential health impacts for those who are outside during overnight hours. Temperature sensitive plants could be severely impacted.

This is often that time that people use their furnace or fireplace insert for the first time this year. We strongly encourage you to have a carbon monoxide alarm in your home. Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, gas emitted by poorly working furnaces and fireplace inserts. We occasionally respond to carbon monoxide emergencies during this time of the year.
