CLEAN Team Nets Three More Arrests
Rochester – Recent warrant services by members of the CLEAN Team has resulted in three arrests in Fulton County.
Wednesday, officers from the Rochester Police Department, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department, and the CLEAN Team assisted the Fulton County Probation office with a compliance check and warrant service on Heather Leavell, 33, at her home on 126 West Third Street, Rochester, IN. While conducting the probation compliance check, officers allegedly found heroin in the home. Leavell was arrested and incarcerated in the Fulton County Jail on a charge for possession of heroin. She was also served a Fulton Superior Court arrest warrant for a probation violation stemming from a previous theft charge. James D Jacob, 31, who also resides at 126 West Third Street, was arrested for possession of heroin.
Thanksgiving morning, officers from the CLEAN Team and the Rochester Police Department executed a Fulton Superior Court arrest warrant on Donald Lewis, 60, Rochester, IN. The warrant was for failure to appear for sentencing on original charges of dealing methamphetamine, possession of an illegal drug lab, and possession of methamphetamine. Lewis was found at his sister’s home on 1002 Franklin Street, Rochester, IN. Further investigation revealed that Lewis was also wanted on an arrest warrant from Clark County, IN. The warrant was for failure to appear on a charge for operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person. He was incarcerated in the Fulton County Jail without bond.
The CLEAN Team is a task force with 11 law enforcement entities that have dedicated resources to fight narcotics in Fulton and Miami Counties. CLEAN stands for Combined Law Enforcement Against Narcotics. The main focus of the task force is narcotics enforcement with an emphasis on methamphetamine related crimes.
