30th Annual Sights and Sounds Parade, December 5th

This Saturday, December 5th will be the 30th Annual Sights and Sounds Parade taking place within downtown Livermore. Given the holiday atmosphere as well as the nature of this family oriented hometown parade, the Livermore Police Department is expecting large crowds to gather as well as some traffic congestion during this event. As is customary, the parade will travel east on First Street concluding with a tree lighting ceremony at Livermorium Park, across from the flag pole. With this in mind, we would like to remind everyone of the parade route in order to allow everyone to plan their evening accordingly.

For purposes of the parade, the following street closures will be in effect on December 5th. First Street will be closed from South N Street to Maple Street. Second Street will be closed from South N Street to McLeod Street, to include the intersection of Second Street and McLeod Street. All of the cross streets between First Street and Third Street to include South M Street east toward Livermore Avenue will be closed to traffic.

The parade start time is planned for 6pm. All of the streets within the parade area will be marked for no parking for the event. For specific details regarding the parade, please refer to the Livermore Downtown Inc. website (www.livermoredowntown.com).
