The Mastics-Shirley Chamber of Commerce Annual Christmas Parade will be held Sunday December 6, 2015. The parade route starts on Montauk Highway at the intersection William Floyd Parkway in Shirley and travels east to Herkimer Street in Mastic then southbound on Herkimer Street to Mastic Road.

Road closures will start at 10:30 am and will remain closed to vehicle traffic until at least 3:00 pm. Road closures include:

-Montauk Highway at the intersection William Floyd Parkway in Shirley travels east to Herkimer Street in Mastic.

-Herkimer Street south to Patchogue Avenue in Mastic.

-Side streets that intersect roads along the entire parade route.

Expect delays and traffic congestion in the areas as a large crowd of spectators will be watching the parade. Parking in the area will be limited, carpool if possible.

Allow extra time for travel, plan ahead to use alternate routes to your destination in the effect areas.

Additional road closures may occur depending upon the weather and road conditions and crowd size.

Please be extra mindful for pedestrian traffic especially young children who are excited to see Santa Claus!

Follow all instructions of police officers and fire department personnel at roadblocks and crossways to ensure a safe and fun time for everyone.
