At 1040 p.m., the National Weather Service as issued a Special Statement for patchy dense fog and black ice overnight and into early Monday morning until 7:00 a.m.

The combination of below freezing temperatures and high atmospheric moisture will produce patchy black ice through Monday morning. Motorists are urged to use caution and keep in mind that slippery conditions may come about quickly. Patchy dense freezing fog will take place near river valleys and in low-lying areas producing locally low visibilities.

Instructions:

If you encounter fog also be alert for patchy black ice forming where temperatures have dropped below freezing. Be especially careful if roads appear to be wet. Even after 7:00 a.m., watch for wet pavement in shady areas which can still be extremely slippery with ice.
