Robbery Arrest
On December 8th, 2015 at about 9:17 pm the Fairport Police Department responded to the Arrow Mart Convenience Store on North Main Street in the Village of Fairport for the report of a robbery that had just occurred where the suspect had passed a note threatening to detonate a bomb. Officers quickly arrived on scene and were able to broadcast a description to other responding officers. Within minutes the suspect was located and arrested with the note, a quantity of stolen currency and stolen cigarettes still in his possession. The area was checked and no explosive devices were located. The suspect was identified as Nicholas Conley (age 23) of Fairport, New York. Conley was arraigned on charges of Robbery 1st and Grand Larceny 2nd in the Village of Fairport Court and remanded to the Monroe County Jail on $10,000 cash bail / $20,000 ins. bond. The Fairport Police Department was assisted by the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
