Informational Release: BPD Community Academy Enrollment
The Burlington Police Department’s Community Police Academy is a free program designed for citizens of Burlington and members of the business community to take an inside look at their Police Department, policing in the 21st century, and contemporary law enforcement operations. The complexity, scope, and depth of the issues that exist on the public safety landscape are enormous. The goal of the 6 week adult academy is to give participants hands-on insight to complexity of contemporary police operations, the challenges, and opportunities in providing core public safety service to the community.
The Burlington Police Department’s Junior Community Police Academy is a free program designed for the youth of Burlington to take an inside look at their Police Department. The goal of the junior academy is to give participants an opportunity to learn about the police department and to meet the people that protect the community every day. This 4 week program is open to the Burlington youth ages 8-15.

To participate, please fill out the appropriate Community Academy application and return it to the Police Department no later than December 21, 2015. The Applications are both on the main page of our website at www.bpdvt.org .
