Brookston-Yesterday at approximately 8:00 p.m, an employee of the Subway Restaurant at 701 South Prairie St, was robbed at gunpoint by an unknown assailant.
Preliminary investigation by Trooper Sean Schaefer has revealed that an employee was taking trash out the back door when an unknown male suspect wearing a black hood approached him carrying a small caliber handgun. An undisclosed amount of money was taken and the suspect fled the scene. The Subway employee was not injured. This is all the information that will be released at this time. The investigation is continuing.

Assisting a the scene were troopers from the Lafayette State Police Post, White County Sheriff’s Department, Brookston Town Marshall and the Carroll County K-9 unit.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
