Pedestrian Motor Vehicle Crash at the intersection of Mill Road and the White Horse Pike (Route 30)
On Saturday, December 12, 2015 at approximately 5:54 PM, members of the Absecon Police Department responded to the intersection of Mill Road and the White Horse Pike (Route 30) for a pedestrian motor vehicle crash. The pedestrian, Kathleen Norman, a 58 year old female from Pleasantville, was crossing the intersection when she was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado, operated by Daniel Caffrey, a 57 year old male from Absecon. Caffrey was negotiating a left turn from S. Mill Road to the White Horse Pike when the crash occurred.
The intersection was detoured for approximately 30 minutes while the crash was being investigated. Norman was treated for her injuries and transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center – Atlantic City Campus.
The crash is being investigated by Ptl. Jeffrey Mazer #851 of the Traffic Safety Unit. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is urged to contact the Absecon Police Department at 609-641-0667.
