Re: Garbage and Recycling Collection
Dear Village of Roscoe Resident,
The Village contract with Rock River Disposal for garbage and recycling collection will expire at the end of 2015. The Board solicited bids for this service and awarded a new five-year contract to Advanced Disposal. The new contract will provide the same level of weekly service for garbage, recycling and yard waste collection but at a reduced cost to the residents of the Village of Roscoe.
The current provider, Rock River Disposal, will cease operation for the Village on December 31, 2015 and Advanced Disposal will begin servicing the Village on January 1, 2016. In mid-December Advanced Disposal will deliver a new 95 gallon garbage cart and a 35 gallon recycling cart. Both will be collected on a weekly basis. In order to provide a smooth transition over the holidays we ask that you fill the Rock River cart and tote for the last time during the final week in December. Rock River will collect your material and remove their cart and tote immediately after that collection. Your new Advanced Disposal carts should be used for the first collection in January 2016. A map of the collection routes and a brochure detailing their services will be secured to the inside lid of your new garbage cart. The map is also posted on the village web site at www.villageofroscoe.com.
