The department responded to 76 calls for service over the weekend including calls for emergency medical services, alarm activations, oil spill cleanup, a carbon monoxide activation, vehicle fire, and motor vehicle accidents.

Safety Tip
Chimney fires are dangerous. The good news is that they are also almost entirely preventable. You must be careful to only burn materials that are ready and meant to be burned. Also remember to have your chimney inspected and cleaned on an annual basis.
