Since November 1, 2015 the Burlington Police Department has investigated nearly 70 incidents of reported shoplifting. From those reported incidents 33 arrests have been made, 4 of those arrests were considered felonies based on the value of stolen items.
There has historically been an increase with shoplifting during this time of year. With new technology and upgraded camera systems, more and more shoplifters are being caught on video. The camera systems are able to capture images that can be used to identify those suspected of shoplifting.
These individual’s identities are being sought for questioning on reported shoplifting thefts. Please contact the Burlington Police Department, 802-658-2700 or Lt. Dennis Duffy, 802-540-2102 with any information regarding the identity of those being sought.
